Integrated Care Board (ICB)

NHS North West London (legally known as NHS North West London Integrated Care Board, ICB) is responsible for contracting healthcare services locally and the oversight of the local NHS budget. It has an extensive role in primary, secondary and community care, some of which are sole responsibilities, others in a joint or shared function with NHS England.

The ICB cover London boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Westminster, and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

These are their broad objectives:

  • improving outcomes in population health and health care
  • tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience and access
  • enhancing productivity and value for money
